Branding & Website Design
About the Project
Sorcha O’Brien, the founder and CEO of Greener Horizons, has spent over 15 years working in the environmental sector in a range of jobs ranging from NGO/social businesses to government. Sorcha specialises in waste prevention and engaging stakeholders in positive environmental actions such as re-use and repair.
To construct a website identity and structure each web page, we started by working with Sorcha to create design concepts and wireframes for each page. While presenting information on Sorcha’s services, we wanted this site to have a natural, earthy, and pleasant feel to it.
Branding, graphic design & web design
The first obstacle with this project was coming up with a Greener Horizons brand identity. We had an initial brainstorming session with Sorcha to come up with website concepts and plans. Sorcha’s logo was created by exploring a range of styles until she chose the one that best reflected her brand, and then the website and brand identity were built around the logo colours. To express a sense of earthiness and nature throughout the site, we chose green, welcoming colours as we wanted to emphasize the friendliness of the site throughout.
The end product was two nicely designed, completely responsive websites that fit Sorcha’s company objectives. Sorcha was able to create and grow her environmental business and build her brand. By growing her business and establishing an online presence Sorcha was able to secure new clients. We developed a good relationship with Sorcha and were able to understand her business needs for her website. Sorcha was overjoyed with the final results of her site, which provided her with a platform to pursue her passion and experience in environmental practises. Due to our ability to form a good relationship with our client and understand their website requirements we launched Sorcha’s website successfully.
